"Every year Walter Jackson Elementary's Student Council does several community service projects. We are at the Decatur Mall in Decatur, Alabama participating in the annual can-a-thon. We collect almost 1,000 non-perishable food items each year, take them to the mall, sort them, count them, and send them to various places in the city.
