Tuesdays with Morrie Author Mitch Albom Gets Custom Inked

"I am an 11th grade English teacher at Mechanicsburg Area Sr. High School in Mechanicsburg, PA. We worked with Custom Ink to create two t-shirts that were the culmination of a project in which students designed a t-shirt featuring one of Morrie Schwartz's "Morrieisms" -- short, witty sayings featured in Mitch Albom's best-selling memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie. Each class picks its winner and then all 12 classes' shirts are voted on by the entire junior class. The winning design is made into a t-shirt that students are able to purchase. Proceeds are donated to the ALS Association, the charity that supports research for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) from which Morrie suffered. This year, we had two top designs that were nearly tied, so we decided to make both. Because Custom Ink was so easy to work with and so affordable, we were able to order to 80 shirts and raise more than $175 to donate to ALS. As if this were not amazing enough, on June 23, Mitch Albom himself visited the Harrisburg area. After his talk, I was able to present him with one of our t-shirts and tell him a little about our project. Custom Ink has been a wonderful partner in this project, even going so far as to make an unsolicited donation to our fundraising to the ASL society.
