"I lost my son, Scott, to suicide in 1996. (Forever17)
Starting in 2015 my 2 daughters, Angie & Emily, & I have participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk. This year (our 4th Walk) the host city was Philadelphia. We walked throughout Philly on Sat. June 16....16.5 miles....through the night. There were 1800 walking this year! It is to bring about Suicide Awareness & attention to all things Mental Health.
Every year we use Custom Ink to design a new Walking for Scott shirt (with a new theme) & use it as part of our fundraiser. It is a highlight of our fundraising! So many stop & ask us about our shirts when we have them on. Our Walking for Scott shirt has raised awareness in & of itself!"
