"The DC Young Republicans' team, Republican Red is Just a Darker Shade of Pink, proudly donned our race tees (and a few pink boas!) to raise awareness and more than $1600 ($720 in participant donations and $920 in other contributions) in the fight against breast cancer. Up to 75% of the funds raised will remain in the D.C. area to fund local screening, treatment and education programs for the medically underserved through the National Capital Area Grant Program.
