PerioDash 2017 - Team LA

"For our Foundation's 25th anniversary, we wanted to do something special that wouldn't cost us a lot of time or money, that would engage our younger generation, and raise money and awareness for our work. PerioDash was born! PerioDash is a virtual run - people pay their registration fee, then pick a day in a two-week period we designate, choose their own route, then run or walk 5K. It's the honor system; when they're done, we send them a t-shirt and medal. Well, a bunch of schools decided to form teams and run together, periodontal practice groups run together, and the event has grown beyond our imagination! From 50 people in 2015 to nearly 200 this year, PerioDash is becoming a fall tradition.
