"Our Mother passed away last September 2012. It was always her wish to take the entire family on vacation, unfortunately with her long illness it never came to be. We made a decision to make it happen last fall taking the whole family to Cape San Blas, FL. We rented a home on the beach for all 16 of us to stay in - what an awesome time we had. We did a series of family shots and this one I felt gives a good idea of who we are - a family that loves one another and truly enjoys spending time together just being ourselves.
Our shirts from CustomInk are fantastic. They added a purpose to our trip in memorializing our Mom/Grandmother. The significance of the "white rabbit" is that it symbolizes a story Mom told us towards the end of her life about a time on Easter when she was little and said a prayer asking God that if he was real he'd send a rabbit - and sure enough when she turned around there was rabbit in the yard, so..."Keep Calm and Follow the White Rabbit" became our theme. Mom was also a huge lover of our country and our soldiers, so on the back we added the tag "Patricia's Militia" (which the kids picked) and a star.
The order process, the support from the CustomInk staff and the ease of creating our personalized shirts was really amazing to me, it was actually a fun process, plus we now have a keepsake that each one of us will have to remember our wonderful Mom / Grandmother and our trip together in June 2013.
