"We are all fraternity brothers who graduated from pharmacy school in 1997 at MUSC in Charleston. We have a reunion of sorts each year at the Hootie Homegrown weekend at Daniel Island to hear two concerts with the band of our college years, Hootie and the Blowfish, Charleston and Columbia Boys also. The mortar and palmetto tree pestle are an homage to the fallen members of Emmanuel AME church made by our alma mater in their honor. We are blue and white like a SC flag and are brothers always so it's our family reunion. I hope this explains things.
