"This is a photo of our first family team for the March of Dimes. Heroes for Hailey is named after my daughter (the toddler in the photo), who was born 9 weeks early and only weighing 2 lbs. 8 oz. We couldn't march the first two years, due to her prematurity, surgeries, and the need to keep her from large public gatherings so her immune system could catch up. Now she is thriving and our family is excited to give back and help other families who are dealing with premature birth and birth defects."
